Risks of male circumcision
Infection
While infection is an uncommon occurrence, it's important to acknowledge the potential risks during newborn circumcision. In the unlikely event of a serious infection, antibiotics may be necessary to address the issue effectively. Our center remains committed to proactive infection prevention strategies, prioritizing your newborn's health and safety at every stage of the circumcision process.
Bleeding
Serious bleeding during newborn male circumcision is extremely rare but understanding the possibility is important. In rare cases of life-threatening bleeding, typically only linked to an underlying bleeding disorder, a blood transfusion may be necessary.
Pain
Our approach includes the use of local anesthesia, which helps minimize pain and ensures a more comfortable experience for your baby during the procedure.
Injury
Although never reported with an AccuCirc® device, there exists a theoretical risk of injury to surrounding body parts, such as the penis, urethra, and scrotum, during newborn circumcision. Our center emphasizes safety protocols to minimize any potential risks associated with the procedure.
Poor Cosmetic Outcome
Removal of excess or insufficient foreskin during newborn male circumcision can result in dissatisfaction with the appearance of the healed area. Additionally, abnormal healing may occur, affecting the overall cosmetic appearance. Our center emphasizes precision and meticulous care striving for optimal cosmetic outcomes.
